[mediK / HEALTH IN NEWS] SEOUL, South Korea — Inje University Ilsan Paik Hospital has received a Grade 1 rating in the 2023 Breast Cancer Care Evaluation conducted by South Korea’s Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA). The hospital achieved a composite score of 95.37, surpassing both the national average and the average for tertiary general hospitals.

The evaluation, which included patients aged 18 and older treated for breast cancer in 2023, assessed factors such as medical staff expertise, care delivery processes, and treatment outcomes.Key indicators included the availability of specialized personnel, the proportion of patients receiving multidisciplinary care, the rate of surgeries performed within 30 days of diagnosis, patient participation in education programs, and post-surgical readmission rates.
