[medi K / HEALTH IN NEWS] SEOUL, South Korea — Mediana, a subsidiary of Selvas AI and a leading South Korean medical device manufacturer, announced its participation in the Global Health Exhibition 2025 in Saudi Arabia, set to begin on October 27. The company plans to debut its flagship emergency medical devices, including automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and advanced defibrillators, marking a strategic push into the Saudi market.

This exhibition marks Mediana’s first major appearance in Saudi Arabia since receiving certifications from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for its A15 and A16 AEDs and D100 and D700 advanced defibrillators. The company aims to leverage these certifications to demonstrate tailored solutions for the local emergency medical services (EMS) environment, while also engaging with healthcare institutions and procurement officials to bolster brand credibility and expand its commercial network.

The A15 and A16 AEDs are designed for ease of use by the general public, enabling rapid response in cardiac emergencies. In contrast, the D100 and D700 are sophisticated devices tailored for professional medical settings, such as hospitals and ambulances. Beyond these, Mediana has developed a portfolio of innovative emergency medical equipment, including an automatic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) machine, reinforcing its growing presence in the global market.

Building on its CE MDR certification, which has facilitated entry into European and other global markets, Mediana is now eyeing the Saudi procurement market and seeking to forge local partnerships. The company views the exhibition as a dual opportunity to elevate brand recognition and expand its distribution network in the Middle East’s burgeoning emergency medical device sector.
According to Meticulous Research, the Middle East medical device market is projected to grow from approximately $6.4 billion in 2025 to $8.8 billion by 2032. Saudi Arabia, in particular, is seen as a key growth hub, driven by government-led investments in healthcare infrastructure.

“Saudia Arabia’s Global Health Exhibition is a critical milestone for our market entry, underpinned by SFDA certifications,” said Seong-ho Lee, Mediana’s business representative. “Starting with Saudi Arabia, we aim to strengthen brand trust and partnerships to lay the foundation for broader expansion in the Middle East’s emergency medical device market.”
